Thanks for signing up to ServeHope!
It's super easy to ServeHope. Just follow these steps:
- Start or join a team (This also creates your personal fundraising page)

Start your own team. Click "Start a Team" if you want to make a team and get friends to join you. Enter personal info which will create your personal fundraising page. Enter a personal ending for your page's web address, like "servehope.ghni.org/yourname." Also enter some team info which will create a team page your friends can join. Your personal page will be automatically linked to your team page.

Get your friends to join you. If you've started a team, then get your friends to join your team by having them use the "Join a team" feature explained next.
- Join a Team. Click "Join a Team" to join an existing team you've been invited to. Enter your personal info which will create your personal fundraising page. Enter a personal ending for your page's web address, like "servehope.ghni.org/yourname." Choose the team from the drop-down menu. Your personal page will be automatically linked to that team page.
- Don't know? If you don't know yet whether you want to start or join a team, click "Fly Solo" for now and just make a personal fundraising page. Personal pages can always be linked to a team page later in the "My account" area for your personal page.
- Plan your Service
- Find an agency that helps the poor in your local area that would welcome your service and fundraising on their behalf* (like a Boys & Girls club, underprivileged school, Habitat for Humanity, local food or clothing bank, soup kitchen, etc).
- Plan with them for your team to serve on a day of your choosing in October.
- Collect Sponsors
- Use social media and email to let everyone know what you're doing. Ask them to go to your fundraising page and sponsor you. (Note: social media raises awareness but only email raises sponsorships. We've found that 3 emails over one month works best).
- Go ServeHope with your team on your chosen day in October!
